In 1978, Bruce Trenholm moved to what we know as Creek View Farm. Back then, the facilities and operations were much different than what they are today.
Creek View started out as a small beef farm in 1978. In 1980, Bruce started hauling logs out of the woods to build a new house. By 1981 the new house was built and Creek View Farm was also converted to a dairy operation.

Summer of 1981 - Building New House
After building the new house in 1981, Bruce decided to focus on the facilities part of the farm. In 1982, one of the older barns was fixed with new steel siding and repairs were made up as far as the roof. More upgrades and repairs were made in the years to follow.
After about 15 years of dairy farming, Bruce decided to get back into the beef industry and add horses to the mix. An indoor arena, lean-to and horse barn was built in 1999. This included a bathroom, tack room, upstairs viewing room and eventually a bunk house. In 2004, another major project was undertaken: the beef barn out back.

2004 - Built Beef Barn behind the Outdoor Arena
2010 saw even more upgrades and new additions. Another beef barn was built at the end of the outdoor arena that will provide shade and shelter for cattle during team penning events. A new horse barn was also added off to the side of the indoor arena.
Over the past 33 years, Bruce Trenholm and Judy Thomas have worked hard to develop Creek View Farm into what it is today - a beautiful and friendly farm where horse people come to ride horses, work cattle and share laughs. Creek View is most commonly known for hosting cow-horse events such as team cattle penning. However, they offer a variety of events such as beach rides on the Northport Beach and an annual Ultimate Cowboy Race on their course that was constructed in 2008. Creek View also offers training, clinics, board and lessons.
